The La Fonda- The La Fonda is the only hotel on the Santa Fe Old Town Plaza, it has a long-standing history of being one of the most prestigious hotels in Santa Fe and for good reason. The La Fonda is just steps away from the famous Cathedral of St. Francis and just a short walk away from the Old Town Plaza. The La Fonda hotel can serve as a location for a wedding ceremony, a site for the wedding reception and a place to take elegant wedding photos.

On the balcony overlooking the St. Francis Cathedral a couple hundred wedding guests can watch a ceremony unfold while enjoying the outside venue. The majority of the venue is very New Mexican from the adobe walls and architecture to the wooden accents of the doors and structural frames. The back drop of the Cathedral comes as a memorable background that will have guests talking about the wedding for years to come. The looming cathedral also comes as a very photogenic aspect to your wedding photos.

The reception venue is just next to the outside venue and comes as a wide-open room that offers a good view of the newly married couple for everyone in attendance. The venue hall is lit by Spanish metal light fixtures and large overhead stain glass sunlight’s that paint light colors across the venue hall.

The La Fonda is also in a prime location for various photo shoot opportunities. There a plenty of photo locations to be found in the Santa Fe Plaza, around the many different churches near the La Fonda and within the La Fonda as well.

With on sight catering, an all in one venue, rooms for guest and your wedding party and plenty of activities for your wedding goers to keep busy with the La Fonda is a prime location for your Southwest wedding.

Nature Pointe- Nature Pointe can be found deep in the secluded high-end Tijeras community just 30 minutes outside of Albuquerque. It can be used as both a location for the wedding ceremony as well as a place for the wedding reception. The building is styled as an old pueblo and the interior is heavily based on large wooden structures.

Nature Pointe is exactly as the name sounds, it is surrounded by nature. In the back of the venue is a small grass field for games for kids, for guests to relax and it doubles as a possible photo location. The venue also contains a small pond and river with a bridge overlooking the lake that also is an amazing location for photos whether posed or candid.

The indoor reception hall is one of the more wide-open halls in New Mexico, it has tall ceilings and a long interior, plenty of space for a few hundred guests to eat dance and celebrate a couple’s special day.

Because it’s located away from the city the afternoons offer amazing sunsets and cool evenings during the summer, you’ll find that guests will be traveling in and out of the venue to look around and enjoy the outside section of Nature Pointe.

Los Poblanos- Los Poblanos can be found on Rio Grande Blvd just above the Rio Grande River. Los Poblanos is a lavender farm that contains an inn, a restaurant, a gift shop and one of the best public locations to visit on a summers afternoon in Albuquerque. Recently redone, Los Poblanos offers new high-end rooms for guests to stay at surrounded by a field of lavender plants that offer a sweet aroma in the evenings when cool breezes blow through.

Los Poblanos is first a historical site that contains many sections from a small pond, a rose garden, two silos, a green house and a whole slew of other sites to explore. Out of town guests will be able to stay in an inn located on the property and not have to worry about finding another hotel to stay at while visiting Albuquerque. For Albuquerque guests might also find that staying on the Los Poblanos property fun and double as a staycation.

Los Poblanos is hands down one of the more photogenic locations to have a wedding, with endless possibilities for photos you’ll probably end up telling your photographer, “I think we have enough.”

On top of great sites, photo opportunities and other benefits of having your wedding ceremony and reception at Los Poblanos it’s also known for its amazing food! If possible, Los Poblanos is a must visit location.
